PlantCML to Take Part in E9-1-1 Institute’s Emergency Communications Technology Fair

On Wednesday, September 17th, representatives of industry leader PlantCML and its subsidiary, DCC (Dialogic Communications Corp.) will participate in the E9-1-1 Institute’s Fall 2008 Emergency Communications Technology Fair on Capitol Hill.

Here, public safety leaders will converge to demonstrate and discuss the latest emergency communications technologies and trends, including data, video, voice and location applications. Attendees will get an inside look at the next generation of 9-1-1 solutions and services for crisis communications and response. The Technology Fair will also feature a 3G technology demonstration from the Region of Murcia 112 Emergencias from Spain.

Together, PlantCML and DCC will demonstrate the Communicator!® NXT, a powerful, web-based emergency notification tool providing intelligent, list-driven communication with first responders, public officials and other key groups. The companies will also present GeoCast® Web, a map-based application proven to rapidly alert people inside specific geographic areas (e.g., flood plains, evacuation routes).

“PlantCML and DCC are active supporters of the E9-1-1 Institute and its efforts to educate the public and Congress about the need for a 21st century emergency communications system in the United States,” said Paul Fahey, Government Affairs Director for PlantCML. “Our participation in this event, and the showcasing of our market-leading products and services, will further this effort with our elected representatives in Washington.”

E9-1-1 Institute’s Technology Fair will be held in The Rayburn Foyer of the U.S. Capitol in Washington. Other participating exhibitors and sponsors include National Emergency Number Association (NENA), The Office of Unified Communications (OUC) and The Office of EMS/Next Generation 9-1-1 Initiative (U.S. DOT).
